The following general description of simple Asokukan is intended as an introduction to the practice. Anyone who wants to practice this or other Buddhist meditation techniques is strongly advised to work with a qualified teacher.


Meditating Buddha



  • Sit as shown in the picture.

  • Calm your mind.

  • Fill your body with chi.

  • Control your breathing.

  • While you inhale, say "Ahhh."

  • While you exhale, say "Ahhh."

  • Let you breath and your chi interpenetrate with the breath and chi of Dainichi Nyorai.
